Severe Anxiety and dealing with it.

Need some suggestions on how to stay drug free and deal with my anxiety. It is so debilitating. Its keeping me from having any type of life. I hate it and seriously thinking of taking my meds for it. I really don't want to, but life has been pretty hard to deal with. Thank you for listenening.

I think that is a question for a medical professional, a psychiatrist perhaps.

You mention taking your meds. If they were prescribed, perhaps you should. My wife is on meds for depression, PTSD and chronic pain. She had a lot of problems whenever she tried to modify her meds without consulting her doctor.

If there are drug free methods for dealing with anxiety, a psychiatrist will know.

I understand wanting to be drug free, but if you're on meds I recommend you at least speak with your Dr first before going off them Suzi.

Not all anti anxiety meds are addictive like benzos. Ask your doctor for non addicting meds, there are some.
