Fourth Step
i am almost 3 months sober again. Not drinking was not difficult, but sobriety was this time. It is a learning curve and I am beginning to realize what this program is all about. it is not something that we read, feel clever about for 5 minutes and then leave behind for a week. It is something that i have to practice on a daily basis, on an hourly basis if necessary.
I am doing my fourth step with my sponsor this week. it is an enormous stage of my journey. I called with him last week and told him that I felt terrible even though I had lost the ideation of having a drink. I felt really trapped. This is where the program is no longer theory, light reading or someone elses story.
It is my journey and I hope I can make it.

I did my 3rd 4th step Saturday night. Felt horrible all night! I did steps 5-7 Sunday. Beautiful relief, again! Try to get through, I couldn't imagine taking longer than a day...yuck!
Relief is wonderful & freeing!
