Here, we are not alone on Thanksgiving
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who visits this forum on this site. The threads here on the front-page for the Newcomers forum has been invaluable to me and was integral to the beginning of my sobriety. I'm at 50+ days now and am blessed to have shared sobriety struggles and accomplishments with both people getting their sober legs, and those with the wisdom of trial/error of experience.
Some of us are alone this holiday - some of us for very sad reasons, others by choice, and others merely as a matter of circumstance. If you're here reading this, let me say: you are not alone!
I hope if anyone is stuggling today that they read this post/thread and share a little about what's going on.
In honor of turkey day (hehehee, thanks for the inspiration Honeypie), I sketched this:

(((ZenJen))) - GREAT post, and love the pictures. I had planned on spending the afternoon with family, but apparently have picked up a "stomach bug" so will miss it. Really is nice to be able to share the day with friends, here at SR.

Well, as the day winds down here, I thought I'd pop back in. I sincerely hope everything went as smoothly as possible for everyone!
If anyone is doing the black friday thing: good luck and stay safe!
For those of us with the day off tomorrow: enjoy the time off with something healthy and creative.
