Day 1.

Ive been part of a few different classes over the year and kept relapsing. Even though I always thought I was giving it my 100% effort to stay sober I dont think I truly was. When cravings hit instead of posting here first or trying the urge surfing that Dee has posted the link to I just kinda gave in and drank. I am really going to put sobriety first this time and need to stop making excuses about AA and just go. I am very grateful for this site and for waking up this morning and being able to have another chance at sobriety.

Hi BoozeFree,

Welcome back. I had been looking at this site for several weeks before joining. I am at day 8 and can tell you, this site, the posts and what I have learned in a short time has helped me more than I can say.

When you feel the urge, come here.

Keep going, one day at a time.

That little bit helped me more than I can say until the AA started setting in. Keep fighting bud.

Also day 1 (again) for me. Sweating, shaky hands, and a racing heart. This is not fun and I'm not sure why I keep repeating the habit. Good luck to us both this time.

Boozefree, I was wondering about you.

You'll need to change your game plan, If you keep following your old game plan when you went on a sobriety streak and then went back to alcohol - The same thing will happen. Take a long walk and re-think about everything you did right and everything you did wrong. Keep the positives and add some more, keep yourself busy and your mind busy.

Best of luck .

I thought I was 'giving it my all' too - for years - I eventually realised, if I'm still drinking, it's not really my all...

I'm really glad to read this BF - you too mwstylee
