Good news Update!!
I made my decision on the job!! I'm going to be starting my new job next Monday morning! I'm thrilled beyond words to be joining this team of engineers. Not only are they good at what they do - they are really good people (just the kind of people I need around me now!).
One thing checked off the list towards my new life
NExt up on the list is a new place to live! I have a lead on that house - and i'm giving it time to incubate! In the meantime, I rearranged and decorated the guest room... so that it's not a guest room anymore!! Now, It's MY bedroom - a safe haven - a peaceful place I can go to relax!!!
As I work my recovery program, my life is just blossoming to something more beautiful that I could ever describe!

Did I mention that I'm excited?!?!?!
I was going over my budget - when I got an email asking which cellphone/service would I prefer?!?! WHAT?!? I've been on my own for so long - it didn't even occur to me that the new company would pick up that tab (which is a pretty big bill for a smartphone with internet service, etc!). I'm due for a new phone so the timing is impeccable
Go figure!
Also - we are going to delay my start date a week because they want to repaint/carpet my office, get my new laptop, etc - and those won't be ready by Monday - 11/28. The email said, "Take an extra week off - but please come to our Christmas Party on 12/3!!" Yet, I'm not actually starting until the 5th!!
For so long I felt trapped and hopeless. I saw The Problem (AH's drinking) and had my eyes focused on a specific solution (My AH got sober, and we lived happily ever after). I never saw any other options/outcomes. My happiness was completely reliant on what he did or didn't do. Today - I'm overwhelming filled with hope and joy. I'm taking life one day at a time and enjoying the gifts that come to me. I've learned that even the trials and tribulations are gifts - they are growing opportunities.
I'm letting go of my own business, for today, and starting a new journey working for someone else. The decision was scary - change is hard... but as I move in that direction - I'm overwhelmed with how right it feels. How good this opportunity is FOR ME!
