So I got the job even though I had 2 DUIs. I need to take the drug test. My question is should I be worry about me smoking weed? The last time I did it was 6 to 7 weeks ago. I did 5 puffs at the time. I had try week 4 times in my life and don't plan on smoking when i have the change. I only try it because I was drunk and depress.

I have heard that marijuana stays in the system for about 4 weeks, so, I think you will test fine. However I am not an expert and have never had a drug test so that is just my guess.

It depends on if they are doing the standard Urine test or if they have gone 'advanced' and do the hair test.

Weed is somothing that I never did. I only try it because I was drunk at the time. The 4 times I try it was when I was smash drunk. I have to take it before the 23rd of the month.

I read everywhere that it takes between 2 to 3 days for none user and up to 30 days for heavy users.

You can go to CVS and buy a drug testing kit and test yourself. They only cost about 20 bucks. I did that before I started a job a few years back. I wasn't a heavy user but, I did use about 2 weeks before. I was passed the test both on my own and for the company.

I've never had to take a drug test, so I have no experience to share.

Congrats on getting the job! I think you will be fine especially if you were never a regular user. It should be well out of your system by now but you could always go and buy the drug test from Walgreens like others have said if you don't want to worry about it.

It will show up on a hair test, standard period they will look at is 90 days and any amount that is enough to get you high will typically show up. But get a testing kit and find out for yourself first. There is no proven method to get drugs out of the hair core but there are many claims out there just to get your money.

At my last job, when they switched from urine to hair test, the failure rate for many hiring groups was as high as 80%...

Haha I was thinking this as well. There are so many factors as to how long it will take but that would take a long reply to touch on everything. All you need to know is that if it was a one time thing and it has been more than a couple of weeks you have nothing to worry about. Don't waste your energy worrying, go do something to celebrate your new job!! Congratulations!

I wasn't into weed either but I occasionally smoked it if friends were. It didn't do nearly the same things for (or against, I should say) me as alcohol and coke. Both of which were out of my system way faster than weed, but which are more dangerous to me... how ironic.
