hello,
today is day one for me. last night i black out and lost money. i am tired of the same old feeling of regreat the day after i get drunk. i am a acholic, i am powerless over it. so this will be my online confession. i need some help but dont have the time to go to AA. i dont say that because i dont want to go, i just need to find time to go to a meeting. there is a hole bunch of reasons why i drink.my drinking has gotten out of control. i have a family and i dont want to loose them or them loose me.

Welcome to SR! There are alot of options besides going to AA meetings. They do have meetings here on this site too. On my first day, I got a few books, rented movies and spent A LOT of time reading everyone else's threads here on SR.
I'm happy you are here!

Geno1982 welcome and good that you're here. Please stop drinking. I have a family also and I would just be crushed if I lost them either literally or via a drunken haze.
You've missed too much already. If you can't find time to go to meetings - for now post here, see your dr and STOP DRINKING. We're here for you and have been where you are. Yes it's time to stop

The first few days of getting sober for me I spent an inordinate amount of time on SR just reading the posts. A whole slew of feelings were flowing through me at the time and just even readings others' similar experiences helped me through that emotional roller coaster! I'm not a joiner of anything by nature and I feel AA is not for me as well but utilize the resources on this site and you will get better! Hang in there and stick with it, it's for the very best!!!
Welcome to the family. Almost two years ago I quit drinking for good and it's the best thing I ever did for myself. I only wish I'd done it sooner.
You'll find a lot of support and useful information here.

I'm an alcoholic too. I am powerless over it too.
I need some help too.
My drinking got out of control too.
I still have my family, i didn't lose that too.
We have a lot in common.
This is one entry I found when I googled "online AA meetings."
Online Intergroup : Alcoholics Anonymous

The first week can be rough so hang in there and things will improve.
