Does your body tell time?

I usually started drinking between 5-6 every night. This is a real question - does your body know the time? A swear it's easier during the day but atnight the headaches and cravings are bad. Only 6 days in and waiting fir it to get easier.

Oh yes, I think mine does...I only have thoughts of wine when I'm driving home from work past my favorite liquor store at about 4:45....crazy stuff. I'm on day 8 and it's easier than day 6 was, keep strong

I am sure we all have triggers based on time of day or certain events (dinner is finished, kids are in bed). I bet that causes the physical feelings.

When you do something at the same time everyday, your body adapts to that routine and when you quit doing something instantly, it's wondering what happened and will send out the signal that something is wrong.

Yes, human cells have "memories" of sorts. Change your routine & stick to it!

Definitely!

That's why I had good results with changing my routines and daily patterns. It was so helpful.

Yep...change your routine. I began my drinking between 6 and 9pm every night. It was a pint of bourbon and beers until I basically passed out. I'm now 6 weeks sober and on some nights out of the blue I get these insane cravings to drink. I recognize the cravings for what they are and they pass.

I now exercise, read, or spend time with my wife. All of these things I never did before because I isolated myself in a room with my booze.

So much life to be found once I decided to place the bottle down.

Thanks SR friends!
