finding help
finding help
Day five on my second attempt in 45 days to get sober. Whats different now.? I'm seeking help. Went to the local county behavorial Services, just a mile away. They have Drug and Alcohol Outpatient program. Group Meetings and one on one's to help give those the tools to remain sober and live sober. Since I am unemployed the county funded program will only charge me 36 dollars. I am also going to locate a new AA home group. I was unhappy with the large size of my old one. These meetings were dominated by older male long timers. I go to orientation this Wednesday and for some reason the IRS sent me 146.00 dollars. I guess I did my 2010 taxes wrong. Just stop drinking and you open yourself up for good things.
Welcome back!
Here's hoping that this time your sobriety will stick. Sounds like you are making some changes to your game plan this time around, so you are giving yourself good odds to succeed.

Good for you Ventura!
It sounds like you are doing things differently this time and that always bodes well for you to make it. When I decided to quit things suddenly fell into place for me too. One of my AA home group people called it a series of "God Shots." Amazing what can happen when we really open up to doing whatever it takes.
