Alanon Grandmother
So, my father is an alcoholic. He's been sober for around 39 years. Since before I was born.
I just found out yesterday that my grandmother, his mom, was a big Alanon. My cousin recently found her alanon book with notations. She's going to loan it to me soon. I'm so excited to see it. As a former teacher, she was a great note taker and always noticed "the little things".
I had no idea she was an alanon. She's passed away long ago. If she were alive today she'd be 105 years old.
