Hi. I posted 9yrs.4 months shot. I'am drinking and it is killing me. A little or a lot does not matter. It will be the death of me I think in the long or? short run.

I don't believe it's ever too late for anyone, nor is anyone ever without hope....

Speaking with your Dr might be a good start - you've been drinking for a while now - I think it's best you get some advice on detox.

Have you thought about a recovery group like AA or SMART?
Thought about rehab?

Whatever you decide, you have to pull the horses up, and do something.

I think you'd agree you need to make some changes yeah?

look back at your old threads...have you moved on any?

It's great to see you back with us. It sounds like you're ready to end the insanity.

Dee is right - it's never too late, and no one is hopeless. I drank my whole adult life and couldn't imagine how I'd get by without it. Now, I am almost 4 yrs. sober and I rarely think about alcohol. You can get to that point, too. Please don't give up on yourself - you can do this.

I too thought I was hopeless, like I was doomed to drink myself to death. But thanks to the good people here, and my addiction counselor, I'm now sober almost two years. Life is good.
