Some further posting reminders.......
My dear fellow Friends and Family members.....One of the many things that I finally realized during my own life growing up with alcoholic and enabling family members is this:
I have no more control over a non-addicted family member and their actions than I do over anyone suffering with addiction.
One of the many things I have learned by coming here and going to face-to-face meetings is:
If I make a suggestion or offer my opinion one time (when asked) from my own experience, then I am sharing. When I start to say the same thing over and over again to someone, I am trying to control them. That's when I need to remind myself to "stay inside my own hula-hoop" as the saying goes.
Remember, if you find someone's question or answer troubling, you are free to place that individual on your "Ignore List" to maintain your peace. Remember, too, that arguing within a thread takes the focus away from the original poster and his/her question or problem.
As my tag line says "I'm pullin' for you! We're all in this together..."
Peace in the valley....
