There ARE signs (your children being the biggest). You should go buy the book "The language of letting go", has great daily inspirations about what we deal with in recovery. I know it sounds like a small thing but I start my day with it and it gives you one positive thing to focus on. GIve yourself a little sober time and the signs will get even bigger and clearer. :ghug3
I'm not giving upppppp
I will definite keep trying..........I know one day I'll stay sober......I'm a 10 day binge drinker and this time it's only been one day....I'm coming back until it sticks..........
Shygirl,
Apart from putting down a drink what else are you doing to keep sober? Don't give up, look at what you can do stay sober, programs, support groups. Your mission is to stay sober, give it your all and you will be rewarded 100 fold.
Don't give up, you are not alone

Shygirl, you had a slip...I've slipped too. But you know what I can tell you now, being 7 months sober...and I never thought I'd be able to say this...I am NOW most proud of climbing back up - you can do it too my friend.

Hi Shy: Sorry for the lapse. I've sufferred it many times. My one piece of advice is to not expend energy beating yourself up. Just get back in the game and go forward. I'm certainly no expert, but you can generate a level of dedication and doggedness by just getting in there a telling yourself every hour that you are not going to take that first drink. It's so easy to fall, I know, but that first drink is the one your looking out for. Good luck and keep coming here, it helps.
