that my xabf closed on his new house yesterday. i don't know if it's true, or not, but i only allowed myself to dwell on it for about ten minutes. honestly, i didn't even think about it until i left school yesterday afternoon which is a HUGE step forward for me, as he's been on my thoughts constantly over the past month and a half.

it was my momma's birthday, and while i didn't get to see her, i did spend some quality time on the phone with her and one of my favorite aunts. i also spent my evening making cd hovercrafts for a lab my kids are doing today in class, reading from "a storm of swords," and texting a few friends.

and, for today, i shall be channeling my inner punky brewster! we are having mismatched day at school (as part of our red ribbon week), and i will be dressed ridiculously. i'm excited to see what my kiddos look like in their crazy apparel and costumes.

such small steps, but they are doing wonders for my soul...
