One month today!
I'm really proud to say that tonight marks one month since I had my last drink! I was kind of superstitiously afraid to post before now because I didn't want to jinx myself, lol.
But overall, I feel wonderful. Every morning that I wake up without a hangover is such a blessing. My energy level is sky-high, and I'm able to focus and be productive like I haven't in a long time. I used to think that I felt "normal" while drinking, but it wasn't until I started feeling better that I finally realized how badly I felt before.
I never thought I would get to this point, and I definitely have everyone here at SR to thank in part for that. I don't want to get over-confident and think that I'm in the clear and let my guard down, but I can honestly say that nothing feels as good as sobriety. I don't ever want to drink again. It's just not worth it.

What an inspiring post....yes, never again.....no more drinking....I'm on day 7 and praying. I'm not going to drink for now.............I hope I feel as great as you do someday!

Congratulations ljames!! I think of sobriety as a work in progress...sounds like your doing the same. 
I was thinking back today on some of my behaviors while drinking. It was first thing this morning...I remembered taking my first drink of the day...What the heck was I thinking?? I shook my head and was so grateful to be clearheaded and sober. To think that I let alcohol control my life like that still amazes me.
Great job ljames. Keep up the good work. I'm thrilled your reaping the benefits of sobriety.
