Saturday Morning

This is my first saturday morning without a hangover in probably about 4 years, and is also the seventh day of my sobriety.

I feel great, and I don't want to ever drink again.

Congrats, and good morning!

'I don't want to ever drink again' OR 'I will never drink again'?

Have a great weekend!

Doesn't it feel great?! Kinda gives ya something to look foward to, ya know? Not being a slave to the bottle anymore should feel liberating. A hangover-free Saturday is an awesome way to wake up.

Congrats to both you and Geralt on 8 days. That's AWESOME I know some days must just crawl by, but oh well. When that's happening, it might be a good exercise to take an inventory of what exactly is making the day feel harder or more difficult or slow than usual. Who knows; maybe you'll find a pattern?

Take care!

You guys are all doing great. I can hear that any WD issues are over, and are finally starting to share with us what a relief and mind-blowing change it is to wake up sober, looking forward to what comes next.

Please 'do the next thing first', and that is to stay the course. Each day will get better, brighter, calmer, happier. You are all lucky to have made your plan.

TU might be trying to get you to rephrase that statement. How about I feel great and I will never drink again, because I know exactly what will happen if I do.

How does that sound to you, Tiger1?

Here's to keeping it less foreboding (did I spell that right? is that even the right word?):

"By the grace of my will, and the blessing of my higher power, drinking is NOT in my future, ONLY in my past"

I'd put a more Zen spin on it, but I'm too distracted at the moment - sorry

Congrats on your sobriety. That's one of the things I like best about sobriety. Waking up feeling great. It makes the rest of the day SO much better!

ZenJen, for the zen approach, how about 'I will never now drink'?
