To the pain

This is my 13th day sober and amazingly my depression that I have suffered for years has lifted, although I feel very unfamiliar without alcohol. Also, I feel all of the pain in my body from all the falls and crashes I took while drinking for 35 years. Oh well, onward. Thanks SR.

Sober will become your new 'normal'. Just stay sober, eat and rest well, and keep yourself happy and busy.

I love it that now it's normal to wake up feeling good!

I was a 30 year drunk, also. It takes awhile to adjust, just don't make the 'symptoms' of sobriety bring you back to the bottle.

Things will get better, I can gurantee you that as I have been down the same road.

Hnag in there, things will only get better.

Best to you.

Thanks Ghostlight. I can tell you one thing-for me I'm not sure I could have made it without AA meetings. Something about others going throught the same thing that I can actually feel. I leave with a powerful sense that I can make it through that day at least without alcohol.
