Starting Over
Today is day 1...for the second time. Trying to recognize what made me cave last time. I have reached out to a local church and will be talking to them about becoming a member. Today I am researching support groups in my area. Keeping all of you in my thoughts today. Its a beautiful day here in Florida and I just got an interview for a great job so there is so much to be thankful for, just going to try to focus on that today.

I still don't fully understand why I drank sometimes. As they say in AA it's "cunning, baffling, and powerful." The longer I stayed sober, though, the easier it was to deal with the urge/cravings.
Just commit to today. Get through this day and it will give you strength for tomorrow. When that alcoholic voice starts talking, find a distraction, do something, or treat yourself with a big bowl of ice cream. You can do it!
