2 years...
This past week I reached my two year anniversary. I am sooo grateful and wanted to drop a note letting others know that it is possible... I have developed my own "program" of sobriety... yoga, meditation, friends, online support, exercise... And I am thrilled to hit the two year mark, and very grateful for two years without drinking.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
I agree. Very inspiring. I too have my own "program" that so far is working for me.
Congrats. And thanks for giving me(and the community) hope that what I am doing isn't the wrong thing just because it is the unpopular thing. I don't think there is a 'wrong' way to be sober.

Congratulations Daisy, I am happily sober two years this week and I too have made my own program. It is possible to make mentally and physically healthy recovery choices and to find your own way. This has been a gift, never taken for granted.
Everybody, it is possible and peace does exist.

It is very encouraging to hear about the success stories from folks who have made a commitment to stop drinking, and then found their own way to do it and made it stick. I compare this to following a weight watcher's diet compared to changes in lifestyle that we can follow for the long haul.
Congratulations to you.

I personally belive that change comes from within anyways, so no matter what recovery method, or lack of, you are following, it's up to you to just quit drinking and decide to change.
