first meeting
I went to my first alanon meeting last night. It was very enlightening and answered a lot of questions I had, but know
it will take time to fully understand the healing process.
I JUST WANT THE LONELINESS TO GO AWAY!!!!!

You made a great decision,,,the program works!
I know your feelings of lonliness,,,Im currently in the dumper too.but it will pass,,,it always does. We have to stick together to help each other out. This is a part of growth,,,,without pain, we could not achieve the glory that is yet to come, for if we did, we;d lose it.
Remember the time you burned your hand on the hot stove? You hurt so bad,,,yet you NEVER went back to pet the stove again?
thats how we learn,,thru the pain,,,,now, instead, we go find a nice furry doggie to pet,,,and we find love!
Keep coming back, travelles!!!

I hope you'll try 6 meeting before deciding whether it's for you or not...either way you are welcome to come here as often as you like...
Since you've been living with an alcoholic for 9 years it will take some time for you to learn to use new and healthier tools no matter where you find your recovery...
