Uh oh, in the middle of a horrible night

well, i shouldn't be up at all. it's almost 3 am here, and my body is feeling electrified. i last felt this about 2 months ago when i kicked my 9 yr addiction to xanax.
i thought things were going well, and i was just going to comment today about how i felt i was feeling pretty good with how things are going.
i don't feel the urge to drink, yet, but certainly hope these feelings in my body will leave soon.
it's day 3, and i have to get up in 3 hrs to run a 5k race in about 5 hrs. not sure how that's going to go. i've already had 10 mg of melatonin and 5 tylenol pm. i'm tossing and turning so much that i had to move to the spare room. not good.
i've battled insomia for 27 yrs, which has played a major, major role in my quest for a sleep aid...booze.
gotta go, but hope today goes better than tonight is going.

make today a good day.

thanks for listening.

I had major sleep problems for 10 years while I was drinking.
It took me a while after I quit, but I sleep like a baby now.

I hope the same will happen for you Sprizzy

Be careful today - don't do anything if you're not up for it.

5 Tylenol PM is the recommended dosage for 2.5 days. Careful with that stuff, especially if you're a former drinker. Both put abnormal strain on your liver.

Talk to a doctor or even a psychiatrist about the insomnia. There are other ways to fix it besides alcohol.

But hang in there, you won't conquer your other problems if alcohol is clouding the picture. Now you can focus better on fixing the insomnia and whatever else you might be wanting to handle.

Oh and now you have a great excuse to take a nap this afternoon.

I was awake 4 days when I stopped drinking. This should dispel any notion that you don't have a drinking problem. Hang in there the beer will only make it worse.
