I made day 7 AND I slept!!!
I made day 7 AND I slept!!!
I made it through the hell I was in last night.
Today I am 7 days sober!!!
It feels amazing and surreal to say that
I cried myself to sleep last night my emotional state was so weak and so fragile
I think the sleep helped me so much though
things are a bit clearer and not as desperate as they were yesterday
I stepped out of my comfort zone today and went for a little walk with my dog.
I can not remember the last time I did that.
my anxiety was high, but I talked myself through it.
I really wanna try to attend an AA meeting, my only concern is the anxiety
I don't do well with groups of people, that said I am really going to try
Today is a better day. I think I actually am happy

Nice work getting through those first 7 days! That can be such a difficult period in early recovery. I'm glad the sleep helped clear your mind up a bit.
I think it would be great if you could make it to an AA meeting. The first few months of recovery, I was helped immensely by the AA rooms. I was there about as often as I could be. It really helped to speak with and listen to others who had shares many experiences similar to my own.

I was very concerned about you & thought of you today - so I'm very happy to read this! I knew you could do it, and it'll keep on getting better as you come out of the fog.
Love it that you stepped outside your comfort zone - painful, but so rewarding once we prove to ourselves we can do it.

Thank you all, each and every one
I am struggling a bit tonight, but only because I think I am starting to feel emotions
I don't really know when I felt emotions before
once it gets a bit "later" and not so many people around I might try going for another walk
I need to keep busy
thanks for getting me through these 7 days!!

I'm glad that you are feeling better and that you stepped out of your comfort zone. Getting sober is a courageous thing to do.
I am 10 days sober today and finally slept. I'm still struggling with the emotion part, but we're human, we have emotions as mentioned above.
I'm so happy and proud of you! I'm here for you and right by your side as we walk this recovery journey together.

Way to go, Lost! I posted in the other thread earlier and hadn't noticed this one ... Congrats on 7 days! I remember in the beginning for me, I couldn't imagine 7 hours let alone 7 days! They're starting to add up - Well Done!
