Hello everyone! Well, it's that time of day again - the time when I'm usually at happy hour priming up for the weekend. I'm 8 days sober and I will admit that I am white-knuckling it right now. I'm not going to give in though. Instead of hanging out the local bar, I'm at a cafe reading posts on SR and it is helping a lot. I'm also going to attend the online chat meeting here at 9:00 pm (eastern time). Thank you SR and have a great, sober weekend!!

Thanks tangledweb! I appreciate your support! I feel great albeit a bit bored Trying to find new things to entertain myself is easier said than done. I'm working on it though!

I am counting the minutes until I can sleep although I have some future plans with what to do with my sober time and at least I will remember it.

That's why I'm putting a stop to this now, least - because I was quickly approaching all-day, every-day drinking. I certainly have had my fair share of morning to night drinking binges that lasted for days on end and it scares the heck out of me. We're sober today though!! Have a great weekend!

good for you for finding other ways to occupy your tme that do not involve drinking!!!! YAY!!!! Happy for you!!!

I'm on day 3 myself and it's actually astounding to me how many hours there are to fill in a day when we are not drinking!!! In every good way....

I've been off and on here all day long, it DOES help to read all the posts and also contribute to lend support if I possibly can.
