New to forums
Hello. My name is Nicky and I am an alcoholic.
I was reading through the forums yesterday and enjoyed it so much that I joined. I am 9 months sober as of the 11th and am thankful to be here.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the nice comments. To those that are starting out....Way to go!!!! Remember that it can be done!
As far as what I have done? Let me see....it took me hitting rock bottom to finally make me stop. The only way to go from being at the bottom is up right? I did some group therapy and then after being sober for 2 months I went to AA. I have a great support system between AA, friends and my family.
I have been tested throughout these 9 months. I had surgery on July 22 and on the 23 my mom passed. Something kept me strong and I am so thankful for that.
Now that I have found this board I can add another support system to my list. Thank you everyone and hugs to you all.
