Quote from the Big Book
I have to share this, I have changed it slightly. It's basically the same, I just imagine myself in this position and I thought of my daughter of course.
I just got done with my Monday AA meeting and I am feeling much better.
As I was reading the capter of "Window of Opportunity", the last paragraph of the chapter (pg 431) got me and really made me think of the importance of the meetings, maintaining my sobriety and of course my little angle who's 3 years old.
"I once knew a woman who was crying before a metting. She was approached by a 5 year old girl who told her "You don't have to cry here. This is a good place. They took my daddy and they made him better". That is exactly what AA is doing for me; it has taken me and it's making me better. For that I am eternally grateful."
The highlighted sentence is all that I changed.
