Weird how it comes and goes!

Today for some reason, I felt like to drink alcohol. I'm not sure it was because I was watching Mad Men or just complete boredom. I just let my thoughts go with it. After a few hours later, I was thinking did I have craving for alcohol some times go? It's weird how these things will come and go. Also good to know that I can control them at the same time.

I think fleeting thoughts are common for a lot of us...especially in the beginning act10n...if you're like me, you drank a long time...

I think the important thing is you acknowledged the feeling, then moved on...

A thought is not an action. Not picking up is an action. Good reaction.

I get those sometimes. Out of no where. I'm sitting there watching tv or sitting out having a morning cup of coffee and BAM! I am like "where the he!! did that come from? I just push it out of my mind then the urge goes away just as quick as it came. Luckily they are few and far between now. I think boredom has a lot to do with it. You did good.

This is common. It was non-stop for me at the beginning, but they will lessen in frequency and intensity over time. I think I read on here that someone timed their "cravings" and that they passed in about seven minutes. I never timed mine, but it sounds about right - I do know nicotine cravings are gone in about four minutes.
