Still here...

Have been lurking daily; unfortunately still drinking. My last drink was at 10.30pm yesterday evening. I have let myself down so many times trying to get just one day, that I have no expectations for today. All I know is I threw the remainder of the wine down the sink this morning and am going to try and make today day one.

almay,

Its okay it takes some of us longer to get here than others.

The 3rd Tradition in AA states The only requirement for membership is a desire to quit drinking. Sound to me like you have it now yo just have to follow through.

Have you ever been to a meeting? There are many people like us in them so maybe going and checking one out might help?

Hang in there and I will pray for you to have the willingness to put the plug in the jug.

Thank you. I have worked out in 7 hours I will be 24 hours alcohol free. Dont get home from work until 6. By then only 4 and half hours until 24 hours alcohol free. Surely I can do that. I hope and pray I can do that.

It can be done, it is being done, you can do it. Do you have any support systems to help you through getting sober? Is detox an issue that needs to be addressed? I hope the best for you.

Hi Almay. Great to see you again.

did you ever talk to your doctor? I know you had some depression concerns.

Welcome back almay

I wonder - what else do you think you can do besides 'not drinking'?
Have you thought of support? what have you tried?

D
