Hi, I'm new here

I have been searching the net, trying to find a local meeting. I moved to a new location, Bayville NJ, and am having trouble fining any meetings. I joined AA back in 1987, an am SO grateful to have gotten sober!
I tried looking in the phone book, and called 411, only to receive the wrong numbers~very frustrating!
Is anyone here from NJ? Can anyone please help me to find a meeting in my area?
This is a great site, but I need to meet people in person. Before moving here, I took care of my parents, but they have passed on, an I'm very lonely.
What do I do with the rest of my life?? I am now disabled, so I can't go out to work, or do much of anything else.
I don't want to drink, I just need some human contact.
If anyone could help me out, please let me know?

Well, I grew up in Jersey but have since lost touch with what's going on. Call your local courthouse or church. They may be able to give you a name of the person you would need to contact.

Thank you both!

Thank you both for replying to my post! I am truly grateful for your help. I'll check back in tomorrow, and I will call my local churches (DUH, why didn't I think of that?!

Congratulations on your sobriety. AA is not part of my recovery but interacting with people and helping others is, so when I moved the first thing I did was search out volunteer opportunities. I met some nice, sober people and found myself with some commitments twice a week.
