My neighbor had a graduation celebration last night, lots of bar hopping and lots of interesting people. I noticed there were more people not drinking than imbibing. Interesting, especially for the early 30's crowd.

Maybe you're noticing now, being one of them. I've found myself doing that. Walking the dog, there's some dads playing with their kids& not drinking! Getting gas, people are leaving the store without beer (not all, but many). Just saying, I didnt even give a thought to such things before.

Being 19 days sober, I've had the chance to experience life as a "normie" with my boyfriend lately. It's amazing to me... going through entire days... what he does, what we discuss. How to live sober. It isn't the most exciting existence I've imagined... and looking back, I think I must have drank to make life more "interesting" or "exciting"... but these days it's exciting that I can go an entire day and be normal.

Sober living is life without chaos. You gotta love it. People are quirky, and smart and gentle. You just have to pick carefully who you spend time with. When I'm out it's like speed dating because I can usually spot the undesirables pretty quick. Fortunately my friend had a pretty good gaggle of friends.
