Not Guilty & I Know it

All sorts of cop cars and cops around my apartment complex. I first saw them and thought "Oh S**T, what'd I maybe do?" Then I realized not only didn't I do anything, I knew I didn't do anything even in a black out. Still felt the paranoia but realize its just a ghost of drunk daze past. Sobriety is great. I can just watch and wonder what some other poor SOB is facing right now.

Every time I hear sirens, I have the same initial gut reaction!

I feel the same every time I see a cop. What a relief to know I'm clean.

I think it's normal for everyone that see a cop car.

They're still there and I'm having this bizzare urge to get in my car and drive past them because I can! :-)

I still have a bizarre fantasy of getting pulled over by a cop on the way to an AA meeting.

I have wished to be plled over too. We still go out and now I drive, and it would be really interesting because I probably wouldn't pass the sobriety test just because I'm clumsy. Then what? It would be worth the waste of time.

Once, years ago, I was getting a ride home from an AA meeting, and we were pulled over. It was just a routine check for drunk drivers, but when the cop asked if either of us had been drinking, we just cracked up laughing!! I think the cop thought we were just nuts instead! :P

This has happened to more than one person I know! It's pretty cool. The cops always seem pretty fascinated.

I walk past the campus police almost every morning on my way into school and still have a moment of panic before I realize I don't smell like weed or have white powder under my nose!

Funny I always liked cops. I was playing my game, they there's. I was polite when I got caught and always got good handling.

Having been on a course of self destruction in my past addiction nothing mattered, cops included. And jail...get healthy for a another run of madness.

I've actually heard of cops initiating a road side sobriety test BECAUSE there was a Big Book on the seat...
There's probably been plenty of .08s on the way home from meetings!

I freak out if a cop gets behind me, i actualy got pulled over for not having my tag because of emissions not long ago, i was shaking so bad they got me out and sat me on the curb, they searched my car pretty well.

I'm nearly 43 years old and things I did as a youngster still haunt me, of corse I was clean, i told them i just get nervous around cops.

Used to be for good reason, now its just the instinct reaction...

I handed off a cup of COFFEE to my friend in the passenger seat when a cop got behind me once!

"Here, take this!"

I don't know if a good amount of healthy fear of law enforcement would have slowed me down. I do guess my relaxed attitude about being busted helped me go deeper down the path of hell fire and destruction.

Ah viva la difference .

I suppose my fear of cops kept me from getting a DUI, thank god!

was always a diligent driver, ......years of carrying.

Drove like I had the Prez and the Pope in the back , and a case of nitro in the trunk

Took some time to get over the rear view paranoia.

......grateful all that madness is over
