OT: Checkin In and Update
Hello hello!
Well if you've wondered
I've been ill again.
Possibly from the dog house
re-infecting the old auto accident wound
but possibly just another 'cycle'
of the ongoing shoulder - saga.
I'm starting back on the antibiotics
and the doc is making me an appointment
to see a specialist next week.
Time to *do* something about this
no one knows EXACTLY what's causing these 'flares'
(the shoulder turns red, swells
like there's half a baseball in the space
between the collarbone and the clavicle)
the pain goes up the neck
and even my elbow is now sore.
Always accompanied by nausea and vomiting
and a fever, sweats chills the whole drama.
I was told by the doc if I have
another 'flare up episode'
that I am to go to the ER.
The doc said there's a nerve cluster right there
at the base of the neck
that triggers the stomach
that this is probably involving
and that's what's causing the nausea
and the dramatic (and colorful) effects.
SO!
I may be MIA for a bit
will keep in touch if things go badly
but am hoping for the thing to finally be OVER.
Posi-thoughts and prayers please!
As I used to tell my boys -
"Be nice or be ... outside."
lol
SOrry if it's rambling let's blame the fever shall we?

Thanks.
Started the anitbiotics today - blea.
Just layin around, watching movies.
Butte is having a folk festival this weekend,
I can hear it when the wind blows the right direction.
The population has quadrupled in two days.
Good weekend to just read, watch movies, and stay off the streets.
Thanks everyone.
I believe in the power of prayer.
And in the power of this groups prayers...in particular.

Barb - Haven't logged in a while - but had to, as soon as I saw this thread, to wish you good luck. Hoping and praying that this is nothing serious and the doc figures it out soon.
enjoy your weekend.

Thank you!
Thought I could 'sneak' online but it's just too much sitting up.
Yes it's a laptop
and I even have one of those bed trays
but the 'bod' doesn't even want to be THAT upright for very long.
Thanks again.

Barb, I'm so sorry! Prayers coming your way, for a speedy and thorough healing! Your thoughtful (and thought-provoking) posts will be missed...but you need to make your recovery your priority.
Feel better soon!
Feel better soon!
((((Barb)))). I'm sorry you're feeling poorly. I'm sending my best thoughts your way. I also believe in the power of positive group thoughts and this is one powerful group!
I have a healing meditation that involves visualizing blue and white light moving up from the bottom of our feet and swirling around as it travels up the body and out through the top of the head. It seems to help me relax and feel better.
Much love to you!
Lenina
