OT: Dogsitter's Lament ... sorta
Hi everyone -
Haven't really been online for a few days
we had actual sunshine here
and I had to get out in it!
It's been a bit of a trial with the dogs thing
the 'other' dogsitter is inconsistent
and I've had to keep making two trips per day down there
to make sure she's been there.
I've decided my eyes just aren't going to get better
until I don't have to be around that place any longer.
They've been deep red, swollen and 'filmy' every day.
I've gotten the dogs used to getting brushed outside though
now they're arguing over who gets brushed first.
Anyway, the whole 'routine' makes me tired
so I haven't been online long enough
to get caught up here
other than just one or two things a day.
I hope all are well and keeping sane-ish
you're in my thoughts and prayers!
It'll be over soon!

Wow - you must really be allergic to dogs. My kid is too - she can be around and touch them but has to immediately wash her hands or she gets hives. If she touches her eyes right after touching a dog, she gets the same thing you describe...its yucky! Its even worse with cats - which is why I don't have a cat. She can barely tolerate being in a house with cats.

I *do* react to long hair cats in the house - but only if they're a 24/7 type situation.
it's the CONCENTRATION of it inthe house - and the sad fact you can't open the house when it's raining ...
the windows are long since painted shut and he fears the dogs would jump through an open window screen.
so it's a situation that he's created.
the new vacume has made the place far more breathable
but ... it's just a vacume.
If the weather would just ... TURN
I could go down and spend the entire day with them
browsing on the net
from the wonderful WONDERFUL back yard he has.
but can't do that in the rain.
a frustrating situation for sure.

That makes total sense about washing hands and OFTEN.
I am double =- washing now and it *IS* getting better.
Had a great visit time today it was breezy outside
and a little cool
but the moving air really helped.
