I saw him

We had a nice evening for our farewell. exABF is moving to another state far, far away. He is not sure when/if he's returning.

I was strangely peaceful. I was sad. I will miss the "old" him. We had a few tears, lots of hugs, and I wished him well.

My detachment worked well. There were a few quacking comments that I was able to identify as just that, and I didn't take any of it personally.

I'm happy with the place I am in my recovery.

I would not be able to be at this place in my recovery without SR, your compassion, experience, warmth, honesty, and sometimes more-than-gentle nudges.

THANK YOU!!

Wow. Recovery in action.

That sounds like a nice bit of closure for you.
