Um, Hi. I'm new. Ive read posts on this site before, and after yet another regretful night and another am hangover, i decided to join. I'm so done with my alcohol dependent lifestyle. Hard day? Drink. Fight with hubby? Drink. Feel fat? Drink. Feel like a failure? Drink. Think about the past? Drink. I must drink at least 4 days of the week. I *try* to hide it from my family.

Funny thing is that I drink to forget my problems... but all it does is produce more and keep me in this depressive state.

Today is a new day, a new life, a new me. I want to find my sober, healthy, happy self again. My children deserve to have her as a mom. Not this piece of crap that I've been for the last year.

Kind of in love with this song today...... makes me feel hopeful. (i'll keep my eyes fixed on the sun)

Welcome to SR. It was my lifeline when I first quit.

You are at the point where alcohol, which used to work, takes that turn down that dark, one-way alley of dispair. Glad to see you recognize that and are looking to change your life.

First of all, that is one of my favorite Beatles songs. Beautiful.

Ok, now it was quite simple, once I had done the work, but I simply had to change who I was or the same me will drink again and again and again.

Maybe this is true with you too?
