Is it July 1st yet?

Woke up at 3am, lights were all still on, Ah's video game tv was on, but no AH. Look outside, all the vehicles were in the driveway(thank goodness) But, no AH. Went back to bed, got woken up again around 5:30, this time to his voice outside, talking. Can't make out any words, but also don't see any sheriff's cars. 15 minutes later, he left. I have his phone, two numbers two rural numbers(both at least 20 miles away too) were called, but that's it. His phone was sitting outside when I went to let the dogs in, he must've let a few of them out the second time I was woken up.

I definitely want the chaos to stop. I said in another thread that I think my HP is done being subtle, that She is hitting me over the head with more and more reasons as to WHY I need to get out.

It's like working a two week notice, isn't it?

Gosh yes, that is what it feels like! First time I've thought of it like that, but definitely.

Now, the car is back in the driveway. I don't freaking know what's going on, I'm sure I'll find out eventually, but right now, I'm just going to do the laundry so the kids and I have something decent to wear to my grandmother's 80th birthday party today.

You know what I am most looking forward too? A solid night's sleep.

LOL!

I hate working a notice.

*sigh*

If he's a drama 'queen' then there's no telling what's been cooked up.
If he's simply an out of control alcoholic,
there's no telling what's been cooked up.

But as far as the 'shows' go -
it's far better to be watching one
than being forced to be IN one.

You've got your ticket to the sidelines,
just a two week wait is all.

As long as they're not drinking their poison with Red Bull,
the one thing I remember I could count on
was that he'll pass out soon enough.

I'd expect some 'escalation' of the situation
as the date draws nearer.
Maybe use the time when he DOES pass out
and double check the 'bug out' bags
and make sure the things you might need
in case of an emergency
are there and ready ...

better to have them ready
than to need them and be without.

And it's something to do that can be a lot of fun to put together.

Once the decision has been made -
once you know that you're really and truly 'done -
then EVERYTHING ...
becomes something to look forward to.

Because it's not the same old thing.

Pixi,
I know time must seem to be dragging.
Sending wishes for a non-eventful two weeks notice.
You surely are due for peace of mind

I already have important paperwork and other "must have" items waiting for me at my sister's house. It's other stuff, basically "fillers" for the house, so that he doesn't think something is up(even though it is).

I'm sure keeping my fingers crossed now that she calls me and says we can move in early! I was hopeful for it earlier, but now, I'm almost desperate for it.

12 days and counting

Have you contacted the landlord and asked if you can move in early? If you explained a little of your situation, she might be willing to allow it. I'd sure give it a try.

She has said she would let me, if the current tenant gets out early enough(she told me he said he planned to be out soon) and they get the flooring done. She said she would call if that was the case.

Well, he finally came into the house around 10:30. He stood and looked at me for a minute, I didn't look at him, I was busy getting a box of old cloth diapers ready to give to a friend I'm going to see on Tuesday. Then he went to bed.

In the meantime, I've gotten 2 boxes packed and ready to go to my sister's house, and am working on a third. Even sorted thru toys, what can stay and what's coming with me.

I hope this time passes quickly and quietly until you can get away with everything you need....pretty soon you can count the hours until you are inserenity land.

would it be very evil/helpful if when you left you just took the battery out of his phone??? and put it somewhere else in the house?...so you can move peacefully....andi hope there is a place you can park your car that is not easily visible from a road.

I have a garage! That was another thing on my list, due more to security than to weather related reasons(although that will be nice too, not having to scrape the windshield on cold mornings)

I plan to only turn on my Net10 phone once a day after I move out, it's going to be relegated to "contact with kids only", and I will be primarily using a Tracfone I bought for emergency purposes a few weeks ago.

Pix - at least you are listening to your HP...that's awesome! Your choices are being validated right in front of your eyes and you are seeing it!

These days will go by sloooowly...but then you'll be in your new place and the world will begin to right itself again. Hang in there!

I might have missed a post or something, but what happens if he finds out what you are doing before you actually doing it? Haven't you had to call 911 on him in the past? I just want to make sure you have a back up plan in case he realizes you are leaving him before you actually do it.
