I fell in love with my exABF, but it's part of my Life Story. So I have no regrets.

So, no, I never wish I hadn't.

I hope you feel better soon!

Thats a tough one. In the beginning (before the disease progressed) things were really great and I thought we would be together forever. I have been with my AH for 25 years (married 23) and it has been the last 6 years or so that have been awful so I would have to say I do not regret falling in love with him. I just regret staying too long when I could see that he was not going to stop drinking and finding out that he was only going to get worse if he did not stop.

I also believe that everything happens for a reason and I try to not regret the things or people that once made made me smile.

It is all life lessons and I have had the most spiritual and self growth from these trying times. Not so sure I would have had this growth if everthing was always going so smoothly.
