Good to see that your being busy and not drinking. Would also be a good time to deal with your problems/issues. I found that when I learn why I drank and face my issues head on without alcohol it becomes really easy to stay sober and being happy with myself. It's not always easy but alcohol is an non issue now when I'm nervous or depress and if I have a problem with family members. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on five days. That's a great start.
Praying does work. So does coming here as well as in person support groups.
Keep keeping busy and remember, you never have to drink again.
Best to you.

Hey, Congratulations. 5 days is an eternity for you right now. Stay busy and dive into meetings and say small prayers throughout the day. Try to remember where you're going to wind up if you drink or drug.

5 days in to your new life alcohol free is a great start.
I finally figured out I was caught up in addiction and that's just what alcoholics like myself do when addicted to alcohol...drink...drink...drink.
Once I opted to quit drinking my attention changed to what I can do to stay stopped. Life is much easier to work with without alcohol in the picture...A lot less of "I don't know" thank goodness.
