3 days sober
so i have been sober 3 days now i spent the last 2 weeks drunk everyday as a matter of fact i have spent nearly the last 6 years drunk im almost 27 years old. I feel i need a change. My life is not completely ruined but im certainly not in a good position right now. this is the first time i have actually admitted i have a problem and it needs to be addressed. this is my first attempt at sobriety. i work at a bar that makes things tough but ok i just leave after work right easy.. on my way home from work i pass many other bars and liquor stores thats where it gets tough. i say to myself i can have just one and its no problem but the problem is yes a lot of times im ok with just one but somedays just one leads to an empty wallet me driving home blackouts n so on. does this ever get easier? i know i cant have just one anymore.

with a little determination and a lot of support, yes I think it gets easier.
I think we have to be prepared to make some changes too - I had to change a lot of things about my life to stay sober, but I'm glad I did...

welcome jopsuey! I am also tryimg to turn my life around.. I am 23 and im sure there is hope out there! We still ha most of our life to make ammends and enjoy it! Welcome to the site!! It is a great place for support!
