2 days sober

Well, that's the second full day done. There's no alcohol in the house so last night was pretty easy and I'm feeling strong. Still no sleep, but I'm more than used to that.

Off to an AA meeting tonight. Haven't been to one in a long long time.

Die dulci fruimini!

Spikeman.

I'm glad you are trying AA, having a program of recovery makes quitting drinking easier in my opinion.

Good luck to you! I am just easing in to the end of Day 3. Its the weekend that will be the true test, but you have to only worry about it one day at a time!

Don't be afraid to bombard yourself with AA meetings and fellowship afterward on Friday & Saturday night for the first {however many months you need to}. Or make other, non-bar/alcohol related plans if AA isn't your thing (movies, ice cream, play, etc.).

I was doing the fellowship thing at first because I wanted to "insulate myself" during dangerous time frames but now I still go most of the time because it's just a hoot...sober alcoholics are definitely not a glum lot.

Congrats on 2 and 3 days...yes, keep on keepin on!
