Woohoo.....Hangover Free Saturday!
Hi Deb...it is great, isn't it? I'm at four months and no longer on Friday nights do I mourn not having alcohol, instead I think of all I can do over the weekend hangover free! Hang in there because it just keeps getting better!
I'm so happy for you, Deb. Breathe it in, Friend!
10:15am here in the lovely-but-steamy Midwest and I've already gone to the gym, met a dear friend for breakfast-slash-meaningful-conversation, and caught up on SR.
It's already been a good day...thanks, Deb, for giving me a reason to say it!

Woohoo. Weeded for an hour starting at 7:30. Took care of some marital stuff before that . Hubby is gone for the day. The day is MINE. MINE. I feel good. I feel dangerously good. I'm going to ride my barrel horse. His registered name is Bandina's Lil Rangler, but I call him "Steve--the man of my fifties." He's tall, dark, and handsome. And just a goofy as every other man I've ever loved.
I hope we're all out there.
It's like Gilligan's Island. We should hook up an existential bicycle to all this positive energy. We could power the Earth!

I just said on another thread how I can't believe I used to wake up hungover and sicker than hell... and did it day after day... Now waking up is a treat and I'm eager to start the day instead of dreading it.

This is such an uplifting thread As I posted a few hours ago ago, after six months of sobriety, I decided to drink on Friday night (because everything was going so well in my life) and I've been in bed sicker than EVER all weekend. I've surrendered to my powerlessness and am frankly scared to death. But, I will do this ONE DAY AT A TIME with the help of my higer power and the fellowship of other alcoholics.
Congratualtions to everyone for a Sober Saturday/Sunday and I'll be looking forward to mine next weekend
