Rehab over - hard slogging beginning (Kelly)

Finished rehab last Wednesday...36 days.

Going to daily AA meetings now...and back to work today, went very well.

A new friend from rehab lives near me, and we go, together, to lots of the meetings.

Have a good evening, getting late here in Toronto, 11:15 pm.

Kelly

Congratulations!!! You sound great! I found it took some time to get over the "culture shock" of being back in reality after rehab, but it gave me a great foundation for a sober life. Good to hear you have a friend you can share it all with - what a blessing!

Keep up the good work Kelly!

Congratulations on completing rehab, K!

Also, I'm happy you have a trusted accountability partner here on the outside. Those kinda folk are diamonds in the rough!

Keep up the good work. Now that the structure of rehab is over it's up to you to work your program. Don't get complacent.

Glad to hear it Kelly. I'm sure you learned a lot of wonderful things there.

Like others have said, keep it up. Now that you're physically sober, it's time to work on the other areas alcoholism touches - namely mental and spiritual sobriety. Keep your foot on the gas and keep moving forward. Far too many of us get a glimpse of what sobriety can be, start coasting, and sell their recovery FAR short of what it can be.

It keeps getting better and better......IF you work at it.
