Yo, Day 5 for me..short time I know but for me its everything and more time than Ive had in MONTHS.. actually got a sponsor for the first time in my life (and a hundred or so AA meetings in 6 years) and that has made all the difference.. Just not thinking..just not drinking..and doing EVERYTHING my sponsor says...like 90 in 90. also just back from a great meeting on relationships.. O and i SPOKE at the meeting as well which is a big deal..and the 20 bucks I normaly woud have drank-drugged? AMAZING crab cakes and a salad Al Fresco..yay. I know im on the "pink cloud" so common with early sobriety but you know what?? its MY pink cloud...i earned it.. and it feels GOOD!!! GREAT actually.
Tomorrow another meeting...a bit of "work" (im very lucky to have a job I LOVE) and perhaps some jump rope action or a bike ride..maybe some cheap theater if i can afford it... ANYWAY.. thanks to all here whom help me stay sober ....namaste'

For some 5 days is a short time. But being sober for the longest period in months...that is huge!

I know one guy that has been on his "pink cloud" since day 4, and that was a year and a half ago. Enjoy it while it last, and who knows, maybe that will be for the rest of your life.

And good job on getting a sponsor. Sounds like your making all the right moves.

Congratulations! I am on day 7, and thinking about putting all the money I would normally spend on wine in a jar and saving it for a spa day. Hope your pink cloud is a permanent one!!

IMO Pink Clouds are the same as promises. There is no reason why we can't go experiencing them indefinately.
