Seven Days
When I go to sleep tonight it will be one week with no alcohol. That is the first time other than pregnancies that I have gone without alcohol for that long.
I am a little worried about this weekend. This will be my first holiday weekend without alcohol. I haven't told everyone in my family that I have stopped drinking, and I am worried about the 'you can have a glass of wine." Somehow my one glass of wine leads to three, four, five...
I know that I am a better mom and wife when I don't drink. I think I miss the ritual of my nightly glass of wine (or four) more than the alcohol. My husband still has beer every night, and I am okay with that. I have been sticking to ginger ale and chocolate milk.
Happy Memorial Day Everyone. Hoping that Monday I can post Ten Days!!!

Welcome mubu!
I can relate to the nightly ritual of wine drinking. Like you, I have had to get used to a new routine in the evening. Instead of wine, it's now something sweet (ice cream works well , a cup of sleepy time herbal tea, then off to bed with a good book.
Best wishes to you in the days ahead!
