Day 18 and I feel great

The longest I have been sober in 5 years is 1 month. I have thought about how much I am going to miss going out, dancing and having drinks but I have not had one urge to drink. Yay! My memory is better. My moods are better for the most part. I am not overly sensitive. My skin is finally starting to look better. I am going to be thrilled when I pass that 30 day mark

So glad to hear you are doing well Angel, I'm closing in on my 30 day mark and couldn't feel better, almost all of my urges are non existent now. Life is beautiful when you aren't looking at it through blood shot eyes, ain't it

Blood shot eyes, nausea, the shakes, regret, embarrassment, hopelessness, fear. Just to name a few. Yes life is beautiful.

By the way congrats on your up coming 30 day mark. I firmly believe that If I can beat this, I can do anything.

You don't have to stop dancing because you stopped drinking, give yourself some time to adjust and I'm sure you will be out there cutting a rug soon enough.

Before you know it the day will come! Well done. You have a positive attitude which I believe is half the battle in staying sober. Soon enough you will be saying bring on 90 days, and 6 months etc etc. Enjoy the journey :-)

Best part, It would be weeks hearing from either of my daughters. Since I quit, I get either a text or a call daily from them. I just got a text from my oldest. She never gets up this early. She woke up thinking about me. How blessed am I?
