Didn't notice until it happen
Well, I started working Friday but didn't have a full day of work until Monday. The job and pay sux but it's work and I have to deal with it now. After work, I decided to stop at the gas station because I was waiting for my ride. I pick up my favorite energy drink and when I paid, I notice that I didn't look at the beer section of the store. Feels good to know I'm not thinking or focusing on alcohol that much anymore.
Over a year ago, I would stop at a gas station to pick up a 12 pack to get drunk at home. Funny to see that things has change.

I agree ActIonpack! I was so thankful to have the obsession with alcohol removed. I can ride by the liquor store and shake my head with relief. It's a great feeling!!! It is almost a year for me and I remember quite well how alcohol consumed my every waking moment.
Best Wishes To You!

Oh I know that alcohol section very well. On my second week of recovery, I had a run in with that isle. But stayed strong, and didn't give into my craving. I'm into my 4th week of being sober now, and walking into a store with alcohol really doesn't even phase me that much anymore. I really don't even realize its there. Isnt that just a good feeling?
A few weeks ago that isle was my best friend. I could be down to my last 20 bucks, but always head to the alcohol isle first. Pick out what I wanted first, and then see what I had left to buy food. How sad is that!? I'm glad I don't think like that anymore.
Hooray for sobriety!!!
