Day 25 of 35 - rehab for Kelly
Well, it's nice to be home for most of the weekend, I had been at Homewood rehab for 24 days straight. I'm going back there tomorrow, with an AA friend I met there who also lives in my city, after our 2:30 meeting Sunday afternoon.
He (Rod) and I went to a good closed discussion meeting last night, talked about Step 5.
We are going to an open meeting at 8 pm this evening (Toronto time).
I wish you a happy 24!
I am on Day 26, so I get my 1 month chip at Homewood on Thursday!
No homework for the weekend, bonus!
My son has a music gig until almost midnight, then he gets a bus ride back to Toronto to the music school, so I probably won't be in bed until 2:30 Sunday morning!
At least I'll be sober, driving him home! ;-)

Working and living your program makes life awesome.
Having a strong support behind you with a knowledge
of recovery in mind, each day sober is a blessing.
Your son playes music? Is he in a band? Where will
he be playing? Club? School? Both of my kids played
instruments in HS. My son, Trombone, daughter French
Horn. Both were so busy with studies and music that
they had little time to focus on anything else.
Lots of games where the band played. Concerts where
they played with the orchestra. Contests, State championships.
And it was nice to witness my son standing on the riser infront
of his school band directing them as their Drum Major.
My son went on to major in music, college and New England
Conservitory. Both did an awesome job and im so proud of them.
Good to hear from you and hope you have a safe drive home.

Good show Kelly , and sounds like your really involved . Awesome, still dry here too though been a bit cranky the last day or two...no reason to go and make a mistake though...best I take a hot bath , grab some sleep and a meeting tomorrow or tonight if I have the energy.
