Stay strong...nothing has ever been solved by drinking.

Driving is a good way to clear ones head. Listening
to some good music that is upbeat tapping the steering
wheel as you go. Escape the madness, craziness of
all those negative thoughts nagging inside our brains.

Stop at a quiet park or go for a nice stroll or put on ur
running shoes and take your doggie if u have one for a
jog.

Have some protein whether a drink or nuts and fruit for
extra energy.

Have ur Big Book or 24 Hours a Day book with you in ur
car to read while sitting in ur car or on a bench under a
nice shady tree and cool breeze.

Get into a grateful mood or mind set that you are far away
from a getting a drink and that you are sober or clean at that
very moment.

I just got my new phone and will soon learn how to connect
to SR, so i can take this site with me wherever I go.

Or....if you own a motorcycle, gear up for a long ride with
the wind in ur face and sun on ur shoulders. FREEDOM from
a drink or drug.

Maybe go for a new look like getting the rough edges
trimmed off ur hair or face. A new pair of shorts and a
new shirt....nothing fancy, just a clean bright new look
that when u look in the mirror you like what u see.

Is that you sitting on your bike. Man Go Ride! It is therapy in itself. I found that a good ride on my vz800 curves my urge to drink. About your coworkers......I personally can not let anyone know to the level at which I use to drink. I would have lost my credibility and more than likely my job.
Keep your head up and two on the floor.

Hang in there Lipitor, you will be so glad tomorrow that you didn't drink today. I hope your ride gave you a chance to clear your head, if not call it a day and turn in early. Tomorrow is a new day.

Are you feelin' isolated?

The fellowship of AA helps a lot with that... I've got friends in AA that I have gone fly fishing with, bicycling with, hunting with... There are some music festivals this summer I am planning to go to with my AA buddies...

The program of AA is found in the Big Book... get one, read it for yourself, come to your own conclusions, see what you think...

The fellowship of AA, at least in the US, is found in church basements, libraries, wherever... That's where you get to meet others... who do, in fact, understand... exactly how you feel... And a good meeting is not a pity party... it is a celebration.

Lot's of guys at the meetings I go to ride bikes, big ones.... me... I'm a road cyclist, skinny tires, spandex... LOLOLOLOLOL

I hope you clear your head and strengthen your resolve and spirit....remember the last time you did drink and just how craptastic it felt....go back and read through your postings.

Focus on something new that you can do when you are sober...something fun that engages your bored brain. TTYL!

I know the feeling - man! You know as well as I do - "this too shall pass."

Hang tough... we all know you can do it. It doesn't mean you have to like every moment - in fact, some moments like this just plain suck A$$!

I hope you're safely asleep by now - hit us up if you're still wired.

I'm sorry Lipitor that you are having such a hard time emotionally. A ride sounds like a great way to clear one's mind, I hope you find some relief by doing so - keep us posted. I've seen you be so supportive to many people on here and we are here for you every step of the way. I completely understand where you are at right now, I am in a similar place myself. Hang in there my friend.

Soo glab you made it Lip! I always enjoy your posts. I've promised myself that if I stay sober long enough (no exact date yet) I will finally let myself learn how to ride a motorcycle : )

Well, I may start with a Vespa ; )

Stay awesome : )
