Day 17 - rehab for Kelly
Tomorrow, Saturday, at 12 o'clock, I shall be 1/2 way through Homewood rehab!
I highly recommend it to anyone.
Recreation therapy this afternoon, board games for me (since I have a bad back).
We had a good recovery group this morning, dealing with our spouses' and childrens' anger about our drinking and/or drugging problem.
It's a slow road back, to getting their respect and trust, if it ever comes back.

Sounds like you are getting and being fed the proper
recovery information to begin building a solid foundation
to grow on for years down the road.
Again, I am so happy that you are coming here to SR to
share your rehab experience. It truely brings me back to
my own stay experience 20 yrs ago.
I wished I had been like you able to comprehend what you
are going thru and having the courage to come here online
to share with others either just beginning their journey or
just keeping up with the maintanence of an already recovery
program in place.
Anyway.....
Physical exercise is great and can help in a good nites rest.
If your experiencing back pain, which my husband is now
and in fact he has already followed up with the doctors with
exrays and MRI and we r due for a shot in the back theraphy
to ease the pain from arthritists near the discs you can use
ur recovery to help you when u go home.
He's followed the doctors instructions on pain meds which
he asked that not be habit forming or narcatic till he gets a
this long shot in his back. One of 3 with a week apart that
we pray will do the trick so surgery wont be necessary.
When you follow thru every aspect of ur life incorperating
the tools and knowledge given to you then there's nothing
you cant accomplish because you are wearing that recovery
suit of armour to protect you from the evils of addiction that
is out to get you.
1/2 way mark......your doing good...!!!!
