I changed my cell phone number. And it needed to be done. I simply can't say "no" when certain people call me. I just don't have the self-control at this point, and I know it. I should have done this a LONG time ago.

When I first came into recovery in 2006, I didn't have a cell phone, and it was great. I didn't have people constantly bothering me, trying to get me to party. Well, now I won't have to worry about that again.

I guess recovery really is all action-oriented.

We'll see how this works out.

Yeah, you're right. I basically gotta' just phase-out everyone I used to party with. I guess that's the hardest part for me. Getting rid of old friendships. But it needs to be done.

Like my sponsor always tells me, "Matt, if you wanna' change the game, you gotta' change the players."

So true, but easier said than done.
