Day 10 of rehab - bowling

Well, I got 1 strike and 1 spare in bowling, very relaxing!

Off to classical music and meditation now.

Hope everyone is well.

Lots of homework over the weekend, where we write about our drinking histories, our FAILED attempts to stop drinking, that sort of thing...+ 5 AA meetings - hope we have some good speakers.

Another great day sober and enjoying some
sobering activities.

I always liked listening to music but when I
got sober for some wonderful reason music
seemed clearer, crisper. More meaningful.
I remember how joyful and happy I felt inside
being able to enjoy music as much as I did
being sober.

I realized yrs later after rehab as I continued to
stay sober, putting one foot in front of the other
and doing the next best thing, that there was no
way I was gonna learn all there was needed to
know about recovery in a short period of time.

Rehab was just a toe in the water before I was able
to actually jump in. All I could do was wade around
getting use to the water or program before swimming.

I just could jump in a swim the program like as pro
but had to go thru beginners class and work my way
up to the point i could put my head under water and
swim laps.....so to speak.

Anyway...im just rambling.

Today Im glad and appreciative of the opporunity
of the time spent in rehab even tho it was not by choice.
I still took the knowledge and tools handed to me from
there to get me started and use it to build a strong recovery
life upon it.

So can you..!
